Tombs Outbreak Backlash!

Due to international pressures placed on Cadre after the failing of the Tombs security to prevent a recent massive metahuman outbreak of psychopaths and criminals. After weeks of public outcry due to the destruction and human misery that followed in the wake of these monsters. Cadre announces plans to build a new prison eventually abandoning the current system and selling existing prisons back to the host country. The new prison being referred to as 'Devil's Island' is being built on a floating landmass in an intersticial reality matrix. Professor Hazard, noted adventurer and savant, the architect and conceptual engineer remarked, "If we cannot build safe prisons, we must build safer worlds."

At the Detroit auto show the first concept car using the new electrical engine from Deimos Innovations was exhibited. Critics of electric cars were amazed to discover that the acceleration exceeded that of most V6 stock engines. Pollution from running the car is non-existant. Safety projections make it the safest car ever to hit the streets with a dynamic improvement in frame impact sharing and a surprising innovation in airbag technology. One full battery charge has been tested to run for over 3000 miles. Ford motor company announces that plant retooling is expected to be completed by early 2006 and the first cars will be the 2007 Ford Future.

Fusion power comes to Nevada!

Deimos Innovations announces plans to build the world's first commercial fusion reactor. It will be built in Henderson Nevada. Environmentalists are already opposing its proximity to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Reclusive founder of Deimos Innovations was unavailable for comment.

A Breakthrough in Peace Protection!
Serene Security Technologies LLC announced yesterday that their Patriot Mark II Personal Body Armor (PBA) enters production. The new body armor, which is unisex, is equipped with removable throat and groin protectors, as well as front and back removable plates, which can stop 16 mm rounds. It weighs 1.6 pounds; each of the two inserts weighs .6 pounds, and the outer tactical vest weighs 2.3 pounds. The previous body armor, the flak jacket, weighed 25.1 pounds.
The Patriot Mark II armor's lighter weight provides more mobility than the older flak vest. The new armor also has an outer tactical vest made of modified mono-molecular Kevlar weave that's capable of stopping a 16 mm bullet, plus the webbing on the front and back of the vest permits attaching other small pieces of equipment. The small-arms protective inserts are made of a boron carbide spun ceramic monofilament casing with a spectra shield backing that is estimated to be 17 times harder than diamond.
